Sustainability

At INCA we acknowledge our obligation to maintain the integrity of the natural environment and the wellbeing of the people we affect. Sustainability is not just a buzz word or check box, but is integral to every part of our business.

We are committed to minimising our impact and that of our industry on the environment and actively seek to work with partners who are of a similar mindset.

We embrace the concept of Kaizen (continuing and never-ending improvement) in all aspects of our business. From listening to and understanding our Customers, to working with our Suppliers to ensure that we are able to deliver to our Customers expectations. We have a responsibility to act in such a way that every activity we undertake should be done so with sensitivity and awareness of its impact on the environment and its people. To this end, we have built our business on 4 cornerstones of sustainability.

Quality

As a quality-orientated organisation we focus both externally, from our suppliers to customers, and internally, on our staff. We continually challenge ourselves to improve what we do, how we do it, and the sustainability and environmental impact thereof, ensuring that at all times we are compliant with all laws and applicable regulations. We aim to review, continually improve and set ourselves new objectives in order to meet our self-imposed obligations regarding environmental protection.

Environment

We recognise and acknowledge that each one of us is a custodian of the earth for future generations. We continually seek to improve our knowledge both as individuals and as an organisation in respect of sustainability, the environment and the impact of our business and that of our Suppliers on the scarce resource pool of planet earth. We devise appropriate measures and solutions in partnership with our Customers to support them in assuming their share of responsibility for environmental protection.

Safety

Safety is a function of the culture of an organisation. Simply put, we believe that all accidents are preventable. We seek to enhance safety in the Workplace by promoting the overall health of our employees. Employees share a responsibility with management in ensuring their own safety while at work. We believe there are 4 aspects to the creation of a safe working environment for all employees – Awareness, Communication, Leadership & Management.

Health

We positively engage with our employees, to understand our own shortcomings, and to seek improvements in what we do. The health of our employees is of paramount importance to us. We take a holistic approach to health. We actively seek to promote both the physical and mental health of our employees. We do this by promoting awareness of these topics amongst our employees and encouraging them to put forward suggestions for improvement.
